You have a 30mW wireless card (transciever) in your Mac
We decided antenna installation is no fun. So we made this instead. The
Quicky Jr. will boost your wireless singal and reception. It is a far
cry from our Quicky, which has a 500 mW (milliwatt) transceiver, but
this will get the job done if you are having trouble getting a constant
wireless signal. The Quicky Jr. contains a 100mW transceiver and
connects using the USB port. The software is the same as that for the
Quicky, so installation is easy.
Purpose Although Apple Macintosh
'Books notebooks are quite possibly the best on the mobile computing
market, they do have one shortcoming, wireless power. Poor signal
strength is common and must be dealt with, so why settle for less? The
Quicky Jr ™ USB is an elegant solution for Mac users that demand
wireless performance that is as great as their Macs have. In a very
small package, the Quicky Jr ™ makes the wireless signal going into the
Mac far stronger than stock.
Design
The case of the Quicky Jr. ™ is made of aluminum for lightweight and
high strength. This also lends itself to the Apple aesthetic of
brushed metal making it appear appropriate to the 'Book.
Compatibility
The Quicky Jr. ™ conforms to the wireless standards 802.11b and 802.11g
, making it compatible with all networks not exclusively AirPort
networks. In fact it should work on most if not all wireless networks,
especially modern ones.
